- Tree trimming – This is the removal of any dead or broken branches while raising the canopy and thinning the crown (top of the tree), to allow light and air to pass freely through the tree.
- Tree pruning – The removal of unnecessary branches such as bottom growth twigs or stem buds to maintain a more aesthetic appearance to the tree or small tree shaping.
- Standard, over sized and hazardous tree removal – This is a complete removal, such as cutting a tree to the ground, leaving only a stump.
- Moss removal – Spanish and ball moss are the most prevalent types in Marion County and can be removed by hand or by spraying, depending on the severity of the coverage.
- Tree cabling – Cables and bolts are used to hold weak tree branches and limbs in place, preventing them from breaking, growing awkwardly, or bending. This gives a tree the support it needs to continue growing properly.
- Tree bracing – When weaker limbs are supported on the main trunk of the tree or on stronger limbs using chains, harnesses, or other means of support. Tree bracing is most often necessary on older trees. We see this a lot with older Oak trees when the limbs have become too heavy to be supported at the joint with the trunk.
- Tree care and maintenance – This is defined as a type of maintenance agreement for the ongoing care and treatment of the tree to insure it’s health and longevity by treating, spraying, pruning and prevention of any and all tree pests, viruses, or diseases.
- Stump grinding – The process that breaks up and removes the stump of the tree without removing the roots. The roots will naturally decay into the earth over years.
- Tree reduction – This is also called Crown Reduction. This is a is a pruning technique that reduces the number of branches in a crown (top of the tree), while maintaining the structural integrity of the tree.
- Tree thinning – This is a practice that reduces the amount of trees in a grouping to allow the larger, healthier trees to flourish and grow. It is also very good for the health of the soil that the remaining trees are reliant on for nutrients.
- Dead wooding – This is the removal of diseased, dying, or dead branches from a tree in order to allow the tree to replace with newer, healthier growth.
